It’s Never Too Late

After 72 years of life,
you’d figure I have it all together.
Live my life to the fullest,
and ready to live forever.

Do I consider my life a success?
Not by any means.
Did I ever realize my potential?
I think only in my dreams.

But yet, I believe our potential,
can be reached by more than one event.
Not just because of our habits,
but situations that have come and went.

It’s never too late to change our life,
and push for our potential.
God wants us to invest in life,
put our purpose into actions, living intentional.

Without a vision, a man perishes,
with a vision, he has a future.
And God wants it bright and full,
as we use our talents and mature.

Everyone has their own,
God-given talent and ability.
To be used for Kingdom purposes,
bringing glory to God’s Majesty.

Our lives become more like Jesus,
as we pursue intentional living.
Just as Jesus lived on Earth,
we become more loving and giving.

Our life is lived to the fullest,
and the journey is continual.
then we can see the end result,
living to God’s potential.

And at the final judgment call,
when the life we lived is openly transparent.
We want to hear Jesus say,
“Well done, My good and faithful servant.”

Living in Christ

The same spirit that lives in Christ,
is the same spirit that lives in me.
It came at Pentecost in tongues of fire and power,
it’s part of the blessed Trinity.

God created each and every one of us,
filling each with talent and potential.
But we have our free will of choice,
to live out God’s given credentials.

In every facet of our life,
we never face more than we can bear.
And as a good father to his children,
God is always there.

We need to grow every day,
being fed, from milk to meat.
And on the rock we need to stand,
so one day, face to face in heaven we’ll meet.

God wants only the best for us,
and we are able to attain.
Because God has placed inside,
His power and His Name.

In growing you have to stretch for more,
be positive in what you go through.
Know the beginning and the end,
find good in everything that applies to you.

Do the right thing over and over again,
and the outcome maintains reliability.
You begin to maximize your growth,
you also empower your ability.

Coffee Can’t Perk You Up

Do you sometimes wake up feeling depressed,
and wonder why you got out of bed.
Not knowing why you feel this way,
and everything is spinning inside your head.

You think that maybe coffee,
if you make it strong, will perk you up.
Will somehow erase the fog,
but life is not found in a cup.

There are times in life’s journey,
when living life just doesn’t seem fair.
It seems so impossible to understand,
and so easy to say, “I just don’t care.”

But is life really so difficult,
such a burden for us to bear?
But are we looking through a fog,
and not seeing what’s really there?

The start of life came,
from God’s Word and Hand.
Everything that was made was made,
throughout this wonderful land.

God was in control,
from that very first day.
And after all of this time,
he still is in control today.

God knows our every need in life,
He knows the beginning from the end.
He is faithful, true, and forgiving,
He is more than our best friend.

He knows everything that we face,
and says His Grace is sufficient for us.
He’s given us talent and potential,
and we need to given him trust.

God wants us to have success,
and be the best we can be.
So don’t let depression hold you down,
God’s broken every chain and set us free.

So perk up and put a smile on your face,
let people see your Jesus glow.
It’s catchy and can change a life,
and cause the family of God to grow.

Next In Line for a Miracle

Are you waiting for a change,
and for the mountain to move?
God will always make a way,
even though you might not approve.

Sometimes we need the most direct path,
to make a highway right through the mountain.
The blessing is waiting and we need to go through,
point A to point B, short and certain.

Every day, all day, miracles happen,
most times, we’re not even aware.
Remember that God is in complete control,
and He knows every mountain there.

Miracles happen before we arrive,
preparation for God’s glory.
When we enter His Throne Room of Grace,
we’re in a line for a miracle story.

More than we can imagine,
God wants to do for us.
He only wants the best,
so in His Hands and Love, we trust.

God’s promises are faithful and true,
and we can have them all.
Don’t forget that Jesus’ Spirit lives in us,
and He’s always there if we fall.

But remember, even if the mountain doesn’t move,
God will still provide a way through.
Because He gave His Life for us,
what more could He possibly do?

Look to the future,
it’s ever so bright.
We’ll never walk in darkness,
’cause Jesus is our Light.

Have an Ear to Hear

Sometimes we find success,
and it makes us very proud.
Then that still small voice,
seems very loud.

It’s not what you have done,
but My Spirit being in you.
That has enabled you to work,
and glorify Me in what you do.

When we listen and follow,
life is so much better.
Our future looks bright,
and we look forward to life forever.

When we live the Fruits of the Spirit,
it leaves no time for fleshy desire.
The Holy Ghost keeps us going,
with the burning of His fire.

When our ear is tuned to listen,
we recognize God’s voice.
We are able to distinguish,
and make the right choice.

When we come to God in prayer,
the Spirit intercedes for us.
We no longer pray for our needs,
but prayer requests of others to be victorious.

He speaks to us in a heavenly language,
that enters the Throne Room of grace.
Directly to the Heart of God,
and before God’s Holy Face.

Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
the three Voices we need to hear.
Extremely important to every facet of life,
it keeps in tune with God, and very near.

So listen carefully,
and keep your heart and ears in tune.
And God will guide your daily walk,
morning, night, and noon.

A Good Gift From a Good Father

When Jesus was baptized in the River Jordan,
Heaven was opened above.
The Holy Spirit descended,
in power and in love.

Baptism changed the life he led,
and began his ministry.
That same power that lives in Christ,
now resides in you and me.

The Holy Spirit gives us strength,
wisdom and freedom of choice.
But we must listen,
to His still small Voice.

He guides and directs,
and fills us with power.
We are never alone,
He is with us, hour by hour.

It’s a gift from our heavenly Father,
a part of the blessed Trinity.
He gives us power and strength,
to defeat the enemy.

The Holy Spirit was the power,
that rained at Pentecost.
The mighty wind and tongues of fire,
gave the Apostles strength to preach to the lost.

Many receive the Good News,
as the Apostles preached in power.
Filled to overflowing by the Holy Spirit,
they preached hour after hour.

Teach Me and Guide Me

Teach me and guide me,
that I would know Your ways.
Walk the straight and narrow,
all of my days.

Teach me to know you,
intimate, like father and son.
And the only Voice I would hear,
would be the Father’s One.

Teach me to walk,
in spirit and truth.
Trusting as I did,
as the child of my youth.

Teach me how to pray,
and when I need to listen.
The world has so many distractions,
and I fall, by my own admission.

Teach me to have a servant’s heart,
and look for the best in everyone.
Become more like Jesus,
and be the Father’s son.

Teach me to share words of Truth,
only the ones You Speak to me.
May those words of wisdom,
make powerful poetry.

Guide me by the Holy Spirit,
as I write what He Speaks to me.
May the words He writes here,
set many chained souls free.

So, Lord continue to speak,
and anoint the words put here.
May I never lose the Spirit,
always sense His presence near.
