Next In Line for a Miracle

Are you waiting for a change,
and for the mountain to move?
God will always make a way,
even though you might not approve.

Sometimes we need the most direct path,
to make a highway right through the mountain.
The blessing is waiting and we need to go through,
point A to point B, short and certain.

Every day, all day, miracles happen,
most times, we’re not even aware.
Remember that God is in complete control,
and He knows every mountain there.

Miracles happen before we arrive,
preparation for God’s glory.
When we enter His Throne Room of Grace,
we’re in a line for a miracle story.

More than we can imagine,
God wants to do for us.
He only wants the best,
so in His Hands and Love, we trust.

God’s promises are faithful and true,
and we can have them all.
Don’t forget that Jesus’ Spirit lives in us,
and He’s always there if we fall.

But remember, even if the mountain doesn’t move,
God will still provide a way through.
Because He gave His Life for us,
what more could He possibly do?

Look to the future,
it’s ever so bright.
We’ll never walk in darkness,
’cause Jesus is our Light.

Deanna 40

In forty years of life,
much has taken place.
College, job, marriage, kids,
just part of the rat race.

But through it all,
we come out like a rose.
You’re doing your best,
as everybody knows.

But now life tends to change,
every ten years from now.
But, before it does,
for all you’ve done, take a bow.

Your body starts to change,
and the aches come more.
Even going shopping,
becomes a chore.

But through it all,
I’m proud of you.
And God gives honor,
for all you do.

Happy birthday to you,
may you have many more.
Birthdays are a celebration,
that’s what they’re for.

So may God richly bless you,
and I also pray.
That your life may be rich,
today, and every day.

Ella “2”

Happy birthday, today!
You are now two.
God holds you in His Hand,
and will in all you do.

God loves the little children,
they are precious to Him.
They light up the sky as stars,
ever so bright, and never dim.

She doesn’t tell you what she wants,
she points and you figure it out.
When she waves good-bye,
her hand is turned about.

She has her favorite toys,
Mr. Penguin, Minions, bubbles, and cooking.
She makes a mess in the kitchen,
when she thinks that no one is looking.

BB-8 and Minnie Mouse,
keep Mom up-to-date.
Let her know what’s going on,
before it’s too late.

By the time next year rolls around,
and you are finally three.
One more year under your belt,
I wonder how you’ll be.

The Floor of the Stock Exchange

Every day in New York, a hammer falls,
and trading prices fall or swell.
And every day New York hears,
the sound of the NYSE opening bell.

There’s movement on the stock exchange floor,
the turning of heads, and the scrambling of feet.
People are running all about,
in that building on Wall Street.

If on the floor of the stock exchange,
there comes a slight hesitation.
It could result in a major change,
and a serious financial fluctuation.

On the outside all seems well,
but the inside tells a different tale.
Stocks and bonds and money-galore,
both for purchase and for sale.

The madness ends at 4 o’clock,
when trading finally ceases.
It’s then that everyone counts,
and looks for increases or decreases.

Everyone heads home for the day,
and dusk falls over the Big Apple.
The brokers head home to their families,
eat dinner and maybe play Scrabble.

And the next morning in New York,
the sun appears all around.
And people rush down to Wall Street,
“Hurry, the opening bell is about to sound!”

Have an Ear to Hear

Sometimes we find success,
and it makes us very proud.
Then that still small voice,
seems very loud.

It’s not what you have done,
but My Spirit being in you.
That has enabled you to work,
and glorify Me in what you do.

When we listen and follow,
life is so much better.
Our future looks bright,
and we look forward to life forever.

When we live the Fruits of the Spirit,
it leaves no time for fleshy desire.
The Holy Ghost keeps us going,
with the burning of His fire.

When our ear is tuned to listen,
we recognize God’s voice.
We are able to distinguish,
and make the right choice.

When we come to God in prayer,
the Spirit intercedes for us.
We no longer pray for our needs,
but prayer requests of others to be victorious.

He speaks to us in a heavenly language,
that enters the Throne Room of grace.
Directly to the Heart of God,
and before God’s Holy Face.

Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
the three Voices we need to hear.
Extremely important to every facet of life,
it keeps in tune with God, and very near.

So listen carefully,
and keep your heart and ears in tune.
And God will guide your daily walk,
morning, night, and noon.

Happy Labor Day 2016!

Who really knows what Labor Day means?
Myself, I really don’t have a clue.
Google may be able to help me,
let me look and see what I can do.

From the days of the Haymarket Massacre,
labor has taken many changes.
It hasn’t happened all at once,
but happened in many stages.

May 4, 1886 was a very sad day,
lives were lost when it need not be.
Workers were looking for better living,
and it makes perfect sense to me.

Someone among the people threw a bomb,
as the police tried to disperse the crowd.
But even through all the chaos,
they would forge on, they vowed.

24 hours needed dividing up,
workers were looking for a break.
Eight hours of work was just enough,
sixteen hours was for us to take.

8 hours of family time,
and 8 hours for sleep.
Made for 24 hours,
and made the day complete.

What was the biggest change?
It would give the people a voice.
Now companies & workers,
each would have a choice.

Through all the years from then to now,
you’d figure everything would be perfect.
But still, problems continue to exist,
because man against man will always have a defect.

According to the Word of the Lord,
Labor is not in vain.
When the work is done for Him,
eternity will be the gain.

Eric John: 15!

I remember when you became a teenager,
and now it is two years later.
Before you know it, a bigger change is coming,
but for now, being 15 is greater.

God has blessed you immensely,
much more than you realize.
And his blessing, sometimes,
you can’t even visualize.

As God knows every hair on your head,
all of your life is in His Hand.
You’ll always walk on solid rock,
never on sinking sand.

For every child of his,
God has a vision.
And by the Holy Spirit,
He’ll guide every decision.

So look to God every day of your life,
remembering that He is in control.
And one day in the future,
you will join all of Heaven on Streets of Gold.

So happy birthday Eric John,
may every day be bright as 15.
And may you grow in life,
as you look forward to all at 16.
