Life is Precious & God is Good

This poem is dedicated to my nephew, Jeffrey, who is currently in the hospital.

I have to relate,
a true experience.
How life is real,
in every sense.

We sometimes forget,
God is in control.
There isn’t anything,
He doesn’t hold.

My nephew was figuratively,
the walking dead.
That’s the statement,
the doctors all said.

His medical numbers,
were off the chart.
But through it all,
God held his heart.

They could not believe,
he was still alive.
But from Patchogue to Riverhead*,
he did drive.

He was doing things,
which couldn’t be done.
Making decisions,
amazing everyone.

But we know the reason,
and the doctors had a part.
But Gods loving Hands,
held on to his heart.

Little by little,
his life was changing.
And God was causing,
the rearranging.

Without GOD in the picture,
you’d be expecting the worst.
But GOD was moving Jeffrey,
from last to first.

*The Village of Patchogue & the Town of Riverhead are both located on Long Island, New York, about an hour east of New York City.

Accept the Light, Be Radiant Bright

Believe in Jesus Christ,
who died for you and me.
He paid the price for all,
with His Blood at Calvary.

His Blood is just enough,
to cover all of our sin.
Because of His Grace & Love,
one day we will enter in.

A home is laid in Paradise,
paved with streets of gold.
Our mansions are prepared as well,
just as we’ve been told.

We will stand before Him,
and worship all day long.
With hymns of praise,
and other glorious song.

I’m sure you want to be present,
so you must have the Key.
Jesus Christ is the only way,
that salvation will ever be.

Accepting Him as Lord & Savior,
is changing darkness to Light.
By giving Him your heart,
in eternity, you’ll be radiant bright.

66 Books

66 books,
of wisdom and truth.
They guide and direct,
correct and reproof.

They can solve your problems,
and end all strife.
They answer every question,
pertaining to life.

No answer is lacking,
just seek and find.
Comfort the soul,
and peace to the mind.

Come before God,
in worship and prayer.
In His timing,
He’s always there.

He gives wisdom,
in studying His Word.
As the Holy Spirit reminds us,
of all that we’ve heard.

The Spirit guides us,
to the Throne Room of grace.
As our prayers enter,
His Holy Place.

Even when we,
expect God’s grace.
We fall behind,
in our heavenly race.

Life may not,
turn out as planned.
It may still be,
sinking sand.

Only God,
is always perfect.
He’s sees Christ’s Blood,
not our defect.

In God’s timing,
we may not see.
In how He cares,
for you and me.

God is always,
in control.
When we ask,
His Hand we’ll hold.

He extends His mercy,
and His grace.
In every stage,
of life we face.

So remember to always,
have a look.
Into the pages,
of The Book.

The answers are there,
and they never fail.
The answers may come,
Express Mail.

All in the Family

A family is the pride and joy,
when all hearts work as one.
Striving for a life of harmony,
united with Christ the Son.

The family’s size matters not,
it matters that we do our part.
The thoughts and ideas we freely give,
from within a loving heart.

The Father has given a family to me,
He asked me to provide and care.
Two charming daughters and a loving wife,
who support me with a life of prayer.

So with a heart filled with love,
and desiring to do His pleasure.
Let us invest our all in Him,
that we might receive our eternal treasure.

A Night of Worship

To enter the throne room of God,
praise and worship are the key.
It leads to God’s very presence,
and into His majesty.

As we lift our voices and we sing,
it’s a sweet, sweet sound to His Ear.
As we praise and worship,
it erases every doubt and fear.

A night of worship,
to our Lord and King.
Our voices are raised,
let our Hosanna’s ring.

Love and joy resound,
all joined in one accord.
Our voices ring out,
to our Savior and Lord.

Worship is the spark,
that ignites the Light.
It fills the darkness,
and erases the night.

We’re standing in the Throne Room,
in God’s outpouring mercy and grace.
Our voices raised with songs of love,
as we stand before Him, face to Face.

Celebration Will Last: 4th of July

Fireworks galore,
and people want more.
Happiness to never end,
possible, my friend?

Always the same date,
this country uses to celebrate.
Do you want to know,
how this could be so?

239 years from its start,
but not with the same heart.
Listen for a while,
as I check history’s file.

Birthed with a God-fearing love,
as God watched down from above.
On election day,
they went to church to pray.

Happy with freedom in hand,
celebrating this new land.
Looking forward to future bright,
finally finished with every fight.

But finished we couldn’t truly be,
even though this country was free.
We were still fighting a war,
which eventually divided our core.

This country still believed in prayer,
and lived under God’s care.
This country will only survive,
by keeping God alive.

So bring your roots to God alone,
and when you’re finally home,
celebration will last for eternity,
for all the faithful- you and me.

The Best Gift

The world says worry how much you got,
in accordance with what you give.
No matter what it costs you,
and the style in which you live.

I have a gift that is free & clear,
it doesn’t cost a cent.
A gift that brings new life and hope,
a gift that’s heaven sent.

A gift I received a long time ago,
renewed each day throughout the year.
The same gift available to you today,
He’ll fill your heart with His cheer.

If you call His name to ask Him in,
He will remove your turmoil & strife.
Ask Him to be your Lord & King,
and in your heart He’ll place eternal life.
